The Ohio State football team has lost two straight games to TTUN. A lot of the credit for that has to go to Jim Harbaugh. He’s changed the losing culture at Michigan into one of winning. But he’s done that at a cost of integrity to the program as several incidents have happened in the last few years.

From the offensive coordinator getting fired for messing with computers to Harbaugh himself trying to leave for the NFL, it’s been noisy around TTUN. Harbaugh himself was supposed to be suspended for four games. Now we’ve learned that TTUN will suspend him for just three.

The proposed four-game suspension agreement with the NCAA fell through for some reason. Now Michigan has decided to go ahead and suspend Harbaugh themselves for three games for lying to NCAA investigators. He will miss all of TTUN’s non-conference opponents.

This is a weaker suspension than what was already a weak suspension proposal. This will have no effect on the Wolverines whatsoever. At least when the Ohio State football program has things go wrong under Ryan Day, he actually comes out and makes a real punishment happen.

This suspension is an effort from Michigan to keep the NCAA from coming at them harder. I don’t see that being the case. I could see the NCAA cutting scholarships and recruiting visits. What certainly won’t happen is any sort of bowl ban or vacating of wins.

We already know that Harbaugh is a hypocrite. We don’t need this nothing suspension to prove it. The games he’s missing are against ECU, UNLV, and Bowling Green. All of them are at home. None of those teams will give Michigan any sort of trouble at all.

Buckeye fans can’t wait for the rematch of The Game. Harbaugh will be back for that one.
