The Ohio State football program has done a really good job of recruiting and developing quarterbacks over the last few years. They have two more commits for the 2024 and 2025 classes that are highly touted and should be really good for the Buckeyes.

One of those quarterbacks showed just how good he can be in his opening high school game. Air Noland, the 2024 commit, played his high school game on ESPN 2. He threw a touchdown with just over a minute left in the game to win it for his squad, and it was ridiculous.

As you can see, he throws an absolute dime on the run to the receiver’s back shoulder. It was the only place that his man could have caught it. That’s why Noland is considered a five-star prospect. Throws like that will get Ohio State football fans even more excited about him.

If Kyle McCord ends up winning the quarterback job this year and kills it, he could go to the NFL Draft. If that does happen, the Buckeyes would be looking at another quarterback battle next year. Noland is good enough that he could certainly fight for that starting job in that scenario.

Noland is the rare left-handed quarterback so that could also change who Ohio State wants blocking on the right side if he were to win the starting job. That would be his blindside so it’s very important for the right tackle to be solid for a left-handed QB.

I can’t wait for Noland to step on campus. I think he will eventually be a starting quarterback for the Buckeyes. He’s just too talented not to. Whether it’s next year or a couple of years down the line, he’s going to be throwing frozen ropes for Ohio State at some point.
