The Ohio State football team has done a great job of recruiting receivers over the past few years. They are the premier receiver program in the country. They already have two five-star receivers for the 2024 class but they went ahead and added another receiver to the class.

That receiver is Jeremiah McClellan, a four-star receiver from St. Louis. The Buckeyes now have three receivers for the 2024 class. McClellan is the lowest-rated of the three receivers, but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t still a good player. Ohio State is happy to have him.

McClellan is 6 feet and 190 pounds and has a lot of speed. He is someone that can really be a menace in the slot. Based on the tape I’ve seen, he is a good route-runner and he has soft hands. He has a big catch radius too for his relative lack of size, which is a plus.

Brian Hartline has once again shown that he is the best recruiter in the country at a specific position group. He can get almost any receiver that he wants because of the reputation he has built. Former Ohio State football players in the NFL can attest to that.

The Buckeyes are really good at the receiver position for years to come. McClellan probably won’t see the field for a couple of years because of all of the talent ahead of him, but he can still make an impact. He and the rest of this class are going to carry the position once Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka leave this year.

Next. Jim Tressel needs to dot the I. dark

I’d like to see the Buckeyes get some more recruits on the defensive side of the ball. They need more help on that side. I’m sure the coaches are working on that this Fall when recruits will be making some official visits to campus.
