The Ohio State football program has one of the most storied programs in all of college football. Not only are they one of the winningest programs in college football, but they have the most first-round picks of any college football team. They develop their talent as well as any program in the country.

The development is what we’re going to focus on in this article. The Buckeyes have the fourth-most alums in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. That shows you just how good they were at developing talent. There are still a couple more who could get voted in soon too.

Some of these players are older guys that were foundational to the game of football. Some of these players are more recent guys that most Buckeye fans have heard of. Either way, these guys are all great football players and are among the best to ever play the sport.

We will go in order of their Hall of Fame induction, so we’ll start with some of the older guys first. First up is one of the best offensive linemen to play the game.

Ohio State football Hall of Famer No.1: OL Jim Parker

This is one player who holds a special place in my heart because he also played for my beloved Colts. Jim Parker was a beast at Ohio State. He was a three-year starter and was a two-time All-American back in the 50s for the Buckeyes. Parker was also the first Outland Trophy winner.

After his Ohio State football career was over, he was tasked with protecting Johnny Unitas’ blindside with the Colts. He went on to be an eight-time All-Pro at both left guard and left tackle after being a first-round pick by the Colts. He was an absolute beast.

Parker was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the class of 1973. He was a great offensive lineman that was the standard for which all offensive linemen at Ohio State were measured after he left.

The next player on our list actually has an award named after him because of how good he was.
