We will soon find out what the Big Ten media thinks of the conference and who they think is favored to win the conference. The Ohio State football team was the default favorite for the last several years but that may no longer be the case this season.

That’s because of what has happened in The Game in the last two seasons. The Buckeyes have lost that game in back-to-back seasons and that cost them the Big Ten Title. A team from the Big Ten West hasn’t won the Big Ten since they changed the division to East vs. West.

Because of that, the winner of The Game has been the de facto Big Ten Champion. With all of that being in mind, who should be favored to win the Big Ten in 2023? Should it be the Ohio State football team? Or should it be TTUN this year because of their winning streak over the Buckeyes?

As much as I hate to say it, TTUN should be favored to win the Big Ten. Their schedule is insanely easy. Even the four games that Harbaugh is suspended for are easy wins for them. The biggest reason why they should be favored over Ohio State is The Game is in Ann Arbor this year.

Do I think the Wolverines will win the Big Ten? I do not. I think Ohio State does get their act together and is able to fix the defense enough to beat Michigan this season. But it is to the point now where there is some serious doubt in my mind about that.

The doubt hasn’t been there for 20 years. It’s there now. We’ll see if the Big Ten media agrees with me or if they decide to pick the Buckeyes yet again this year.
