Ohio State football vs. Conference USA

Western Kentucky: This will change on September 16th when the Hilltoppers visit the Shoe for the first-ever meeting with the Buckeyes.

Middle Tennessee State: Even though they are close in proximity, I don’t see any reason for Ohio State to put them on their schedule.

UTEP: Very far away and not very good. That’s all that needs to be said about the Miners.

Florida International University: I’m sure Ohio State football players would love to go to Miami to play, but FIU is not a good enough program to justify that trip.

Louisiana Tech: There are closer C-USA teams the Buckeyes can schedule that are better.

Liberty: The Flames have only been in the FBS since 2019 so it’s not a surprise that Ohio State has never played them. They just joined C-USA this season.

Sam Houston State: They are new to the FBS this season

Jacksonville State: Just joined the FBS this year as well.
