The Ohio State football team is looking to add some difference-makers on the defensive side of the ball in the 2024 recruiting class. One of the guys they think that can be one of those types of players is cornerback Bryce West.

West is a four-star prospect from Cleveland Glenville High School. He is rated as the best corner in the state of Ohio. He visited the Ohio State football program this weekend to see if that’s the right place for him. Evidently, it was.

West decided to commit to Ohio State on Saturday during this visit. He chose the Buckeyes over TTUN, so this is a big recruiting win for Jim Knowles and the defensive staff. The Buckeyes need more help in the secondary and that’s what West gives them.

With his speed and strength, he can play press coverage without getting burned too often. That was an issue for the Buckeyes at the end of last year. Although West may not play right away, he adds valuable depth. He’s definitely going to play a lot in 2024 though. He’s that talented.

Ryan Day is trying to assemble a great recruiting class for 2024. They have a top-five class right now and that ranking should only continue to improve as time goes on. They will continue to get some top-notch talent. Even though June camp season is over, they have some good players still making visits to campus.

Next. The all-time Jim Tressel team. dark

West is the best member of the secondary in the 2024 class for the Buckeyes. He’s a good building block for the secondary. This is a good day for Buckeyes.
