The Ohio State football team has their quarterback for the 2024 class in Air Noland. They got him after Dylan Raiola, who is the number one prospect in the country, decided to de-commit from the Buckeyes a few months ago. He is slated to attend Georgia next Fall.

News has come out that Raiola will now play for his fourth different high school. I’m not sure about you, but that seems like a major red flag to me that he is moving around this much. The high schools he’s attended haven’t even all been in the same state.

I think the Ohio State football team dodged a bullet when Raiola de-committed. This is a kid who seems like he is the best thing since sliced bread. I can’t fault him for thinking that though because he’s just a kid. His parents clearly added fuel to the fire by allowing him to do this.

Is Raiola a great talent? Absolutely. His arm is strong, he’s fairly accurate, and he can use his feet too. Yet, I do think the Buckeyes are better off with Noland as their guy for the class because Noland seems like a guy who has a team-first approach to the game.

Everything we’ve seen off the field makes me believe that is a trait that Raiola doesn’t possess. If he has some trouble at Georgia, he’s probably going to enter the portal immediately. He doesn’t seem like someone who would be able to handle adversity very well.

Again, Raiola is just a kid. He hasn’t even entered his senior year of high school yet. He can still mature and prove that everything I’m saying is wrong. I hope he does. Either way, I’m glad Noland is the guy that Ryan Day locked in on instead. Raiola at Ohio State may not have worked out.
