A current Ohio State football player has been hospitalized with an undisclosed medical condition. Zak Herbstreit, the son of former Buckeye quarterback Kirk Herbstreit, is the one who is currently hospitalized. The good news is that he is in stable condition.

Herbstreit’s dad took to Twitter to give everyone an update on his condition.

Kirk would go on to say that Zak is on his phone every now and then, so that means he is responsive. Again, we don’t know exactly what the issue is, but we hope he is okay. Herbstreit isn’t the only Ohio State football player to have dealt with medical issues recently either.

It’s unclear how much he has improved since when he was first admitted to the hospital, but it seems that Herbstreit is in good spirits and continues to get better. If he, or his dad, releases any further updates, we will update this article to let you know.

Herbstreit is currently a walk-on tight end for the Buckeyes. He has yet to appear in any games in his short Ohio State football career. Here’s hoping that he can recover quickly and get back to the field of play soon.
