Ohio State Football: Jim Harbaugh playing Michigan yet again

Jim Harbaugh was in dire trouble heading into the 2021 season. After having lost to the Ohio State football team every time he’d faced them, and coming off a disastrous 2020 season, his job seemed in peril. Then, he was able to turn around his fortunes with one win.
After beating Ohio State in 2021 and making the College Football Playoff for the first time, Harbaugh was suddenly the toast of Ann Arbor. He tried to use that momentum to parlay a job into the NFL. Only after learning the Vikings were the latest NFL team not interested did he return to Michigan.
In 2020, he did the same thing. Even after finishing just 2-4 on the season, he still tried to jump to the NFL. Now after the 2022 season, he’s trying to do the same thing. He has yet to come to terms on a new contract with the university even after making the CFP for the second straight year.
This is all good news for Ohio State football fans. Either Harbaugh ends up leaving TTUN for the NFL or is a distraction to the program. Either is good for the Buckeyes. This also helps Ohio State in recruiting battles with TTUN, including one with a cornerback.
If Ryan Day was smart, he would pounce on this news in recruiting. He knows that TTUN is the biggest threat when it comes to the Big Ten. This is a good chance for him to get the Buckeyes back on top in The Game, although that requires better play on the field.

Ohio State desperately needs to win The Game this year. Day has a lot of pressure on him to do so. Perhaps the distraction of using his university as a pawn will prevent Harbaugh from beating the Buckeyes a third time in a row.
