The Ohio State basketball program usually plays a pretty tough non-conference schedule. They usually play at least one or two premier programs a year. That will be the case again this season now that they have officially finalized their non-conference schedule.

Ohio State will start out against Oakland at home on November 6th. That’s the opener, so keep that date fresh in your mind. Then they welcome Texas A&M just four days later into the Schott as well. It’s one of the earliest times they’ve played a Power 5 school.

Both of the next two games are at home as well against Merrimack and Western Michigan. After that game, the Buckeyes get their neutral game of the year on the same day as The Game. They will take on Alabama in the state of Florida during the Emerald Coast Classic.

After that, the Ohio State basketball team takes on either Oregon or Santa Clara the next day in the same tournament. That will be a nice early-season test to gauge exactly how good this new team will be. Those games are the closest thing the Buckeyes will get to playing on the road.

After that, the Buckeyes come back home to the Schott to take on Central Michigan and Miami of Ohio before the CBS Sports Classic in Atlanta. Ohio State will take on Kentucky in this year’s matchup, so that should be an interesting game.

Ohio State takes on New Orleans at the Schott after that matchup. The final non-con game is the neutral-site game against West Virginia up in Cleveland. As you can see, the Buckeyes don’t actually play a non-conference game on the road. It’s all home and neutral-site games.

Next. Where could Brice Sensabaugh get drafted?. dark

This will be a young Ohio State basketball team. Hopefully, they’re better than they were a year ago.
