The Ohio State football team hosted a ton of talent over the weekend as it seems the Buckeyes are in a good place with a number of recruits.

The Ohio State football team had a monster weekend of hosting recruits, and it seems as if they locked down a player or two. Top amongst them is five-star defensive end Eddrick Houston. Crystal balls on 247 Sports have leaned the Buckeyes way as numerous people around the Ohio State program took to Twitter to hint at a boom that is believed to be Houston.

This would be a massive win for defensive line coach Larry Johnson as he has not landed a five-star pass rusher since Jack Sawyer and JT Tuimoloau in 2021. And also, being able to pluck him out of the state of Georgia with the way the Bulldogs are recruiting is also a feat in itself.

Houston isn’t the only big-time player to have been impressed with Columbus over the weekend as prized five-star safety and cousin to safeties coach Perry Eliano, KJ Bolden, took to Twitter to say how much he enjoyed his visit. He called it a “10/10 visit.” Bolden is actually teammates with Eddrick Houston at Buford High School so there are a lot of things lining up in the Buckeyes’ favor in Bolden’s recruitment.

Ohio State has been in search of a big-time safety recruit for the past two cycles now as Bolden would be a great addition to the 2024 class. Georgia is still seen as the favorite for Bolden, but this race might come down to signing day for him.

Lastly, Dylan Stewart, another five-star defensive end in the 2024 class was on campus over the weekend and he too came away impressed. The Washington D.C. area native, Stewart would be an awesome companion to pair up with Houston in this class. Larry Johnson has had much success recruiting in the DMV area over the years, so hopefully Stewart could be the next in line.
