Ohio State Football recruit top performer Day 1 at Elite 11
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football program has been recruiting elite quarterbacks ever since Ryan Day joined the staff back in 2017. Most of the quarterbacks that he has recruited and developed were great performers at the Elite 11 camp prior to stepping onto campus.
The most recent Ohio State football recruit is no exception to that. Air Noland, Ohio State’s 2024 quarterback commit, was rated as the best performer on Day 1 according to Rivals. Noland is going against some of the best quarterbacks in the country at this summit.
Previous MVPs of the Elite 11 include C.J. Stroud and Justin Fields, two elite quarterbacks who went on to have great careers for the Buckeyes. Noland is looking to be the latest Buckeye to win the MVP and show that he is the best quarterback in this class.
Noland is going against two notable quarterbacks for Ohio State football fans. Dylan Raiola, who had previously been committed to Ohio State, and Jaydn Davis, who is a five-star recruit committed to TTUN. Davis wanted to go to Ohio State, but OSU favored Noland instead.
If Noland can take down both of those quarterbacks and come out of this as MVP, that would be a really good sign for the future of this position. Noland throws one of the prettiest balls in the country. Is touch and accuracy were on display on Day 1.
There’s still plenty of time for Noland to further impress evaluators. This was just one single day of workouts. There are multiple days in this event, so he needs to keep impressing people to win the MVP. Day clearly thinks he has elite talent, so he can definitely do it.
We’ll keep you updated on what happens the rest of the time during the Elite 11. It’s something everyone in the country is watching.
