Everyone knows that Marvin Harrison Jr. is the best player on the Ohio State football team. He very well might be the best player in the entire country. Teams are going to have to slow him down by any means necessary, including giving him some double teams.

If they do that, then the Buckeyes have another guy who can torch them down the field. That guy is Emeka Egbuka and he might be forgotten by some national media out there. Everyone associated with the Ohio State football program knows how good he is though.

Egbuka was a former five-star recruit and is just as dangerous as Harrison Jr is. He had 74 catches for 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. He also had two rushing touchdowns too. If teams pay too much attention to Marv, Egbuka will tear them apart.

Egbuka is good enough to be a top-15 pick in next year’s NFL Draft. Yet, since he’s not the best receiver on his own team, he gets lost in some people’s narrative about this Ohio State football team. He’s not someone that teams can forget about.

I expect Egbuka to have an even better year this year with all of the additional attention that teams will be paying toward Harrison Jr. No matter who the quarterback is, Egbuka and Harrison Jr. are going to get their numbers. They are both just too talented to be stopped.

This offense has the potential to be really dangerous. Egbuka is part of that danger. He’s going to kill multiple teams this year with his combination of speed and route-running. It all just comes down to which quarterback is throwing him the ball.

I can’t wait to see all of the ways in which Egbuka will be better this season. He’s a special player.
