Ohio State Football: Buckeyes listed as underdogs to Michigan

The Ohio State football team has some ground to make up next season. They come in as an underdog to the Michigan Wolverines.

The Ohio State football team finds itself in a rare situation entering the 2023 season. They come in as an actual underdog to Michigan. FanDuel has given the Wolverines a one-point advantage in the game come next November.

This really shouldn’t come as a surprise as Michigan has topped Ohio State in its last two consecutive contests. And with the game being in Ann Arbor, Michigan probably should be the early favorites having returned its top offensive players in quarterback J.J. McCarthy and running backs Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards.

But heck, it’s only May. And with a ton of time between now and November 25th, it wouldn’t be a shock if the Buckeyes come into it as favorites. Ohio State definitely has the tougher schedule, having to play at Notre Dame in the non-con while Michigan has three cupcakes.

In other betting lines involving the Buckeyes, they come into the season opener as huge favorites against Indiana and eight-point favorites against Notre Dame. They’re also 10-point favorites at Wisconsin in October and a massive 24.5-point favorite against the Michigan State Spartans for an NBC night game in early November. Overall, Ohio State will be favored in every game it plays right up until the last week of the season against Michigan. This isn’t anything new as the Ohio State football team usually is a heavy favorite in just about every game it plays. But looking at that Michigan line should hopefully get this Buckeye roster fired up for the last week in November.
