Former Ohio State football player and central Ohio native, Joshua Perry, is making a big career move as NBC announced that the national champion linebacker is joining their college football coverage team. Perry, who has spent the past couple of years as an analyst for the Big 10 Network and Bally Sports, will be taking that move for this football season beginning in the fall.

NBC, along with CBS, were the two major networks that joined FOX in signing the most lucrative television rights in college football history with the Big 10 Conference. NBC, who has spent the better part of the past decade only covering Notre Dame games and the Mountain West Conference, will be once again presenting Power 5 football. They needed to create not only multiple teams for covering games in the booth, but also experts and personalities for pregame, halftime, and postgame shows.

It has been reported by Eleven Warriors that Perry will fill the role of in-studio analyst for NBC, who seems to be taking a Big 10 approach by filling important roles with graduates and well-known personalities who have ties to the major schools within the Big 10 Conference. The Big 10 Network has always had an Ohio State football and Michigan flair to their television personalities, and it appears NBC is following suit.

Perry has been perfecting his craft for several years now. He was and remains a frequent guest on the Columbus sports radio station, 97.1 The Fan. After dipping his toe into the media side of the game, Perry was able to become an analyst on the Big 10 Network.
