The secondary

This was much harder than any other unit on his team to decide on. Meyer really had some great players in the secondary while he was here. I wish some of those guys could be on the current Ohio State football team. That would ease a lot of worries. Here are my choices:

CB: Jeff Okudah, Gareon Conley

FS: Malik Hooker

SS: Vonn Bell

Cornerback was the hardest position of any on this team that I had to fill. Ohio State had so many good corners during this time period. I had to leave out studs like Denzel Ward, Eli Apple, and Damon Arnette. In the end, Okuah and Conley just shut down more receivers in my opinion.

Hooker only started one year for the Buckeyes, but it was a ridiculously good year. He had 7 interceptions in that 2016 season and returned 3 of them for touchdowns. It’s hard to be any better than that, so he was an easy choice for me.

Bell always seemed to make plays in big moments of the game. He had 9 interceptions in his career and forced two fumbles. It seemed that anytime the Buckeyes needed a big play, he was there to step up and make it. That’s why he makes this list.

The final part of the team is the special teams unit. This wasn’t easy either!
