Special Teams Unit

Meyer was known for his hard coaching of the special teams. He would actively spend time with that unit to make sure that they were doing the right things. He knew that unit could be the difference between winning and losing a close game. These are my choices for that unit:

K: Blake Haubeil

P: Cameron Johnston

KR/PR: Corey “Philly” Brown

Kicker was an easy decision for me. While Haubeil wasn’t the starting kicker for Meyer until 2018, he was really good for the Buckeyes when he was out there. He didn’t miss a single extra point during his career and made 80% of his field goals as well.

Johnston was an easy choice for me too. He was a Ray Guy Award Finalist for best punter in the country in 2016 and is the only Buckeye to do that since B.J. Sander won the award in 2003. He was able to flip the field like no other in his tenure.

The return specialist was the hardest for me to choose. There was no Ted Ginn Jr. slam dunk option. In the end, I went with the guy who has two punt returns for touchdowns in his Ohio State football career. Brown was a good enough threat to make teams kick it away from him.

Next. Incoming WR gives himself interesting comps. dark

That’s it! Those are my choices for the All-Urban Meyer Team. What do you think? Did I get it right?
