Ohio State football: Business as usual
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team will be one of the favorites to win it all this season. With the kind of talent they have on the roster year in and year out, that makes sense. Because they have that kind of talent, they don’t need to do anything special.
They were just one play away from playing for a national championship last season. If they had made a field goal, they would’ve played TCU and probably would have beaten them just as bad as Georgia ended up beating them and the Buckeyes would have been national champs.
It should be business as usual for the Buckeyes this season. They just need to play the way they have the last two season and they will be in the Playoffs once again. Talent is what’s going to help them be at least a ten-win team alone.
If Ohio State can keep themselves from allowing big plays in the secondary, there’s no reason they can’t play in the National Championship Game. The offense should be as dangerous as ever and they just need to be average on defense. We’ve been down that road before though.
The Ohio State football team needs to just stay in their lane and not try too hard. That’s when mistakes happen. As long as they beat TTUN they can make the CFP. Those two things should be the goal for this team. If they accomplish those two things, it will be a successful season because they’ll be playing for a championship.
