The 2023 NFL Draft is in the books after a very busy weekend. SeveralOhio State football players found new teams and a few more signed with teams after the draft. Even though it just ended, scouts and GMs are already looking forward to next year’s draft.

That’s because there are some true generational players in that draft. One of them is Marvin Harrison Jr. He is the best receiver in the country and there’s not even a question. If he had been eligible for this year’s draft, he would have easily been a top-ten pick.

Harrison Jr. is already extremely high on draft boards for the 2024 Draft. He has been mocked in many way-too-early mock drafts to be in the top five. He could be the highest Ohio State receiver draft pick ever if that were to be true. Terry Glenn holds that distinction now after being the 7th overall pick in 1996.

Harrison Jr. should have another big year this year no matter who the starting quarterback ends up being. He’s got everything that NFL scouts are looking for. He has the size, the speed, and the hands to be an elite receiver for a decade. I have no problem saying he’s a franchise-changing player.

Of course, Harrison Jr. will have to avoid the same pitfall that Jaxon Smith-Njigba had this past season. Health is going to be the only thing that could drop his stock. Even if he were to get hurt like JSN did, I still think he’d be a top-ten pick. He’s that good.

We have a long way until next year’s draft. We also get to keep Harrison Jr. for another year. So let’s enjoy him while we have him. We don’t get to see players of his caliber very often. He could be better than his Hall of Fame father.
