1. Archie Griffin

There is no greater player in College Football history than Archie Griffin. He is the only two-time Heisman Trophy winner after winning it in back-to-back years in 1974 and 1975. He also is just one of two players to start in four Rose Bowls in his career.

Griffin also never lost to Michigan. He beat them three times and tied once. He killed TTUN every time he lined up in the backfield as the focal point of Woody Hayes’ offense. Once he got the ball, there had to be three or four guys there to try and tackle him.

Griffin was hated by TTUN fans so much because he was the face of the Woody Hayes teams that were so successful against them. Michigan fans will always hate Woody, and Griffin is the player that is most associated with him during his coaching tenure.

More than that, Griffin is considered the best college football player of all time. That grates at TTUN fans. Until someone else wins two Heisman Trophies in a career, Griffin will hold that title. I don’t see that ever happening again with the way college football is played either.

Well, there you have it! Those are the ten Ohio State football players that Michigan fans love to hate the most. Hopefully, more Buckeyes join this list as the years go on.
