Ohio State Football: 3 winners from the Spring Game
By Ryan Stano
2. Noah Rogers
When it comes to getting wide receiver talent, no one is better in the country at accumulating it than the Ohio State football program. Noah Rogers is one of those talented receivers and is a true freshman this season who decided to enroll at Ohio State early.
Rogers comes from the 2023 recruiting class as a four-star receiver out of the state of North Carolina. While his fellow classmate Carnell Tate has been getting all of the buzz in Spring practice, Rogers was the one who put on a show during the Spring Game.
Rogers was the leading receiver in the game for the Buckeyes, getting 64 yards receiving. 57 of those came on a touchdown pass. He showed that he can get yards after the catch and get open. He has very soft hands as well and can make some tough catches.
Because of all of the other great receivers that the Buckeyes have on the roster, Rogers isn’t likely to get any meaningful playing time this season. There are just too many other talented guys ahead of him. But this performance showed that he is more than capable of making plays when he does get his shot.
The final winner of the Spring Game is someone who may not have jumped off the screen at first glance, but he got a lot of playing time.
