The Ohio State football team will be playing its annual Spring Game in just a couple of days. It will be our first look at the new roster and how much the team has improved in the few months since the agonizingly painful loss to Georgia in the Peach Bowl.

What should some of the expectations be for everything that surrounds this game? We know that there will likely not be any tackling in the game so it will be hard to look at some of the defensive players and how well they’ll do. But we can still learn about some of the players in the game.

It will be easy to tell how well the offensive and defensive line is playing. How big of a push each side gets will be easy to see. I also want to see if Kyle McCord’s decision-making has gotten any better. That’s the biggest reason he lost the quarterback battle back in 2021.

Another expectation to have as an Ohio State football fan is to have multiple commitments happen after this weekend. The Buckeyes have a number of recruits in Columbus for this game. The weather will be great too, so there’s no excuse for those recruits to have a bad time.

I’d expect at least a couple of commitments to happen this weekend. That’s probably the main benefit of this game. A few of the battles on the offensive line are something to watch too. But getting more recruits on the defensive side of the ball for 2024 is most important.

dark. Next. How to get back on top in the Big Ten

I will enjoy watching Buckeye football again. Let’s just try to get out of the game without anyone getting hurt, which didn’t happen last year. I want no torn ACLs in this year’s game from anyone out there playing.
