The Ohio State basketball team has a strong recruiting class coming in next season. It’s ranked as the 8th-best class in the country. The Buckeyes also have four commits in that class right now. They are possibly looking to add one more member to that class.

There’s one player that they have been looking at adding late in this cycle. That player is of course Bronny James, the son of LeBron James. Bronny is currently ranked as the 33rd-best player in the country. He is a four-star prospect that also is projected to be a top-ten pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

There are three schools left on Bronny’s list; Ohio State, USC, and Oregon. As far as has been reported, the only school where Bronny made an official visit was Ohio State. He was dressed up in Ohio State gear and that seemed to indicate serious interest.

247Sports now has a prediction for where Bronny will end up. Unfortunately for Ohio State basketball fans, it’s not good for the Buckeyes. He is projected to go to future Big Ten foe USC. To be honest, this prediction is not surprising if you’ve been following the tea leaves.

LeBron plays in LA for the Lakers. He’s not a free agent until after next season once Bronny could declare for the 2024 NBA Draft. Bronny’s brother Bryce plays high school basketball in LA. It makes sense for him to want to stay in town with the rest of his family.

Nothing has been announced yet of course. Bronny will certainly do that on his own terms at his own time. Ohio State may not have had room for Bronny in this 2023 class anyway. Still, it would be interesting to see him head to Columbus and play for the Buckeyes.
