The Ohio State football team and head coach Ryan Day will know if it has its 2024 quarterback by Saturday night.

The Ohio State football team and head coach Ryan Day have been searching for their 2024 quarterback ever since No. 1 overall prospect Dylan Raiola de-committed from the program in December.

However, we will know if the Buckeyes have landed their 2024 quarterback come Saturday night when four-star, top-100 national recruit Air Noland will make his commitment. Noland earned an Ohio State offer last weekend but that was just a formality. He has had Ohio State high on his list of potential schools for a while now.

The Fairburn, Georgia native will choose from Ohio State, Miami, Texas A&M, Clemson, Oregon, Alabama, and Arkansas come Saturday. Of those schools, it appears that Ohio State, Miami, and Clemson are at the top of that list.

A major reason why Ohio State might be the front-runner for Noland is due to the fact that his former high school teammate, Jelani Thurman, is currently on campus in Columbus and is actively recruiting Noland. Thurman is currently having an excellent Spring for the Buckeyes and could figure into the Buckeyes’ rotation at tight end next season.

Noland said this last month, via Eleven Warriors:

"“He’s sold me on Ohio State a lot. He loves it up there in Columbus. Jelani works very hard and is very smart. He does the right things on and off the field. We talk every day. That’s my guy. You never know. You might run into him and play with a guy like that again in college. It’s in God’s hands.”"

This seems to be a perfect match for Noland and Ohio State. Noland can come in and learn from one of the best quarterback developers in the nation in Ryan Day and Ohio State can get the bad taste of Raiola’s de-commitment out of their mouths by getting another top quarterback in the class.

Next. Former 5-star linebacker deserves a chance. dark

This should be interesting come Saturday evening. Keep it locked into Scarlet and Game for all the latest.
