This could be the Ohio State Football team’s 2024 QB recruit
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team has been steadily increasing the number of 2024 prospects whom they have gained commitments from. Last night, it was four-star running back James Peoples. He becomes the seventh member of the 2024 recruiting class for the Buckeyes.
One position they still need to fill is quarterback. Ryan Day has said that he wants to have a quarterback in every recruiting class. It took them a while to get their 2023 QB, but they eventually got it done. Who could they get for 2024 after the Dylan Raiola de-commitment?
It seems to be that Air Noland is moving towards being that guy. Noland is a four-star quarterback out of the state of Georgia and is listed as the 8th-best QB in the 2024 class. He was just offered by the Buckeyes this past weekend while he was on a visit.
Noland has offers from other big programs, including Clemson, Oregon, and Miami. He stands at 6’3 and 195 pounds. He’s also a lefty quarterback, which would be a change for the Ohio State football team. I can’t remember the last time they had one.
Not only can he throw the ball well, but he is also on the track team. He’s fast but isn’t a fun-first quarterback. Day doesn’t recruit those kinds of guys. Looking at his tape, he has a really quick release too. He also throws a pretty deep ball and throws some good fades.
We’re going to find out very soon where Noland is going to play his college ball. He is scheduled to make his recruiting announcement at the end of the week. With the Buckeyes getting the last visit in, that bodes well for their chances to land him.
We’ll certainly let you know once he does decide to make his announcement. It would be good if the Buckeyes could get a QB early in this cycle.
