The Ohio State football team is doing some heavy work on the recruiting trail. This is the time of year to get a lot of recruiting done before prospects start making official visits for Spring games and summer camps. It’s a good time for Ryan Day and his staff to have good conversations that lead to commitments.

One of those prospects that the staff has been talking to is five-star wide receiver, Mylan Graham. Graham is out of New Haven, Indiana, and is listed as the best player in the state. He’s the fifth-best receiver in the country and the 27th-best player overall.

Graham isn’t the biggest receiver, standing at 6’1 and 170 pounds. But you know who else is a little undersized? Jaxon Smith-Njigba. He ended up being pretty good, and Graham is bigger than him. Graham makes up for any lack of size with his long arms and burst off the line of scrimmage.

When going against press coverage, Graham’s acceleration allows him to get around the cornerback and into open space very quickly. He’s a good route-runner as well. What really gets me excited is his ability with the ball in his hands after the catch.

He has been crystal-balled to the Buckeyes. This would be another outstanding get for Brian Hartline when it comes to the wide receiver room. He has proven to be the best receiver recruiter in the country bar none. Adding Graham would just be the latest feather in his cap.

It’s unclear when Graham could make his decision, but there is a flurry of prospects that could start committing right around the time the Spring Game happens. It would be nice if Graham was one of those guys. He’s pretty darn good and would look great in Scarlet and Gray.
