Ohio State Football receives several predictions for recruits

The Ohio State football program is looking to add members to its 2024 recruiting class. They already have a few, including the number two overall recruit in the country. But now they have recently been crystal-balled to get several recruits in that class.

One of those recruits is safety Reggie Powers. Powers currently doesn’t have a star ranking and isn’t as high as some of the other recruits that are on the Buckeyes’ radar, but he could still develop into something. Another recruit that has been predicted to choose Ohio State is four-star linebacker Payton Pierce.

Pierce is from Lucas, Texas, and is the 15th-best linebacker in the country. He has offers from several big programs, including Notre Dame, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma. The Buckeyes are now projected to get him, which would help bolster a linebacking corp that is suddenly stocked with good players.

The Ohio State football program also is predicted to get another really good receiver, four-star recruit Jeremiah McClellan. McClellan would just be the latest receiver who is highly regarded that would come into Columbus and fight for playing time. He is really good though.

It’s unknown when any of these prospects would make decisions as to where they will attend college. All of these prospects still have time to take official visits to all of these places. Ohio State is trying to build a better recruiting class than it had for 2023.

While the 2023 class wasn’t poorly ranked, it wasn’t as highly ranked as some of the other classes that Ryan Day has managed to bring in. We’ll see if they are able to achieve that. For now, these crystal ball predictions are a sign of things going in the right direction.
