When you play quarterback for the Ohio State football program, you know that you are going to have some great receivers to throw to. That has been the case for the last five years or so thanks to the efforts of new offensive coordinator Brian Hartline.

Last year was no different. Marvin Harrison Jr. proved that he is one of the best receivers in the country. While he didn’t win the Biletnikoff Award for the nation’s best receiver, he will be the favorite for that award next season. He’s really freaking good.

Harrison Jr., Emeka Egbuka, Julian Fleming, and Xavier Johnson all return next season. All of them had some great moments at times last season. They will enter 2023 with a ton of experience and will be able to help whoever wins the quarterback job greatly.

Whether it’s Kyle McCord or Devin Brown, the quarterback will have plenty of weapons to throw to. Those weapons will be able to help ease the transition of a new starting quarterback. It also helps to have a healthy stable of running backs, which should be the case by the time the season starts.

Not only should these receivers help the new QB but they should thrive. Ryan Day’s offense allows the receivers to have a heavy part in the success of the offense. I’d expect another stellar season from Harrison Jr. and a really good season from Egbuka. Those are the two best receivers on the team.

Next. Three best players Ohio State Football will face next year. dark

I wish we knew who the starting quarterback was already so we could make a judgment on how dynamic the offense is going to be. But that’s the beauty of college football. There’s a new roster every few years. It’s part of what makes this sport great.
