The Ohio State basketball season has not gone the way that anyone thought it was going to go. They are a terrible basketball team and very well might be the worst team in the Big Ten. There’s a very good chance that they don’t win another game this season.

One of the bright spots early in the season was the play of Brice Sensabaugh. He looked like someone that could possibly be a one-and-done and head to the NBA after this season. He was really efficient in his scoring. It looked like he had the potential to be a lottery pick.

After some truly terrible offensive performances, Sensabaugh has fallen out of that conversation. He also got replaced in the starting lineup for a couple of games as well. He still has the talent to get back into that conversation though. Sensabaugh needs to improve on a few things though.

The biggest thing Sensabaugh needs to work on is his passing. Right now, he’s a black hole. He just takes the ball and dribbles and tries to create his own shot every time. There is no playmaking at all. If he wants to play at the next level, he has to prove he can create a bit for others.

Another thing he has to work on is his defense. He’s got the size where he could be a switchable defender. The problem is that his lateral quickness isn’t very good. Part of that is because he doesn’t work very hard on defense either. His effort lacks on that side of the ball.

If Sensabaugh can work on those two things, he has a chance to still be a first-round pick despite how poorly the rest of the Ohio State basketball team has played and will continue to play.
