The Ohio State football program is about to put another first-round quarterback into the NFL. C.J. Stroud will be a top-five pick in April, following fellow Buckeyes Justin Fields and Dwayne Haskins as quarterbacks taken in the first round under Ryan Day.

Stroud is going to be a franchise quarterback for someone. Personally, I hope it’s the Colts. But wherever he goes, he will have fans watching him. He will also have some former teammates watching him play in the league as well, including his former wide receivers.

Garrett Wilson says C.J. Stroud was one of the best Ohio State football players he’s seen.

With it being Super Bowl week, a lot of players are in Arizona for the big game. Garrett Wilson, who was taken in the first round by the Jets last year, is one of those players. He spoke to our friends over at Arrowhead Addict and talked about how good Stroud is.

Speaking of Stroud, he had this to say:

"“He’s the best quarterback I’ve ever played with in my life.”"

That’s some pretty high praise from a player who’s played with some really good players in his short career. He’s also including Zach Wilson, who was the former number-two overall pick. Wilson probably won’t be the starter for the Jets next season anyway though.

Wilson will definitely be watching wherever it is that Stroud lands. He’ll be rooting for Stroud except when they play against each other. Stroud showed in that final game against Georgia that he can move around the pocket to make plays and take off and run with it when absolutely necessary.

NFL teams are anxious to see how Stroud performs in the Combine at the end of the month as well. He could further raise his draft stock there.
