Ohio State Football: UGA player signs photos of Harrison concussion
By Ryan Stano
I like to think most people in this world are decent. There are examples all around us of people being dumb or cruel, but I think most people are good. I don’t think that about Georgia player Javon Bullard or the Georgia memorabilia company profiting off an injury of an Ohio State football player.
That’s right! The classy fanbase down in Georiga is selling a signed photo of the play that gave Marvin Harrison Jr. a concussion, one that should have been ruled targeting, for $130. Bullard has apparently signed the photo with “Night Night” in reference to knocking Harrison Jr. unconscious.
This makes me extremely angry. Georiga won the game, although I still don’t think they should’ve. That should’ve been Ohio State’s national title, but it wasn’t. That’s fine. But to actively promote giving someone else a brain injury and celebrate that is disgusting.
You can see a picture of the listing below.
Georgia is increasingly becoming one of my least-liked teams in all of college football. I actually hope the Ohio State football team gets a rematch with them in the College Football Playoff next year. I want the Buckeyes to stomp them in retaliation for this.
Fans that buy this crap disgust me too. Actively rooting for another player to suffer head trauma in an already dangerously violent game is unconscionable. I’m rooting for Georgia to lose every single game they play now, and I’m sure other Buckeye fans will do the same.
As for Harrison Jr., he’s seen the tweet. He’s definitely going to use it for motivation next year.
