Ohio State Football: An Ohio State Buckeye Mock Draft
Zach Harrison had his best season as a Buckeye in 2022. Oftentimes dominant against lesser opponents, Harrison will need to bring his physical style of pass-rushing every game in the NFL. The former 5-star recruit should be a good fit in Jacksonville as the Jaguars look the get back into the playoffs in 2023. The one thing every playoff team needs is more pass-rushing.
Hickman lands in the fifth round in a good situation. He won’t be asked to start but if he could develop a role on special teams then maybe he can earn some reps on defense as the season goes along. Hickman has experience playing both in the box and as a free safety so his versatility should be intriguing for NFL teams in the later rounds.
The Cleveland Browns have a massive need at defensive tackle and decide to take a late-round flyer on this former five-star recruit. Vincent had his best season as an Ohio State Buckeye in 2023 following an injury-ridden career. Hopefully fully healthy, maybe Vincent can crack the rotation in Cleveland as their defensive tackle position is a mess right now.
Well, that’s all we have for now. Maybe with a strong Combine, Tanner McCalister can join this group of eight Buckeye draft picks. It’ll be interesting to see where all these Ohio State football players land in the 2023 NFL draft.
