Ohio State Football: Buckeyes trying to steal 5-star QB from Bama
The Ohio State football team is trying to steal a quarterback for the 2024 recruiting class. The latest one is an Alabama commit.
The Ohio State football team is off to a busy start this recruiting season. The Buckeyes have offered a ton of players as of late and that’s not stopping anytime soon. In addition, with the de-commitment of prized five-star 2024 quarterback Dylan Riola, Ryan Day, and Corey Dennis are busy trying to find their next quarterback.
That has led them to two other five-star quarterbacks and the Buckeyes are pressing hard for both of them. Earlier we told you about Jadyn Davis, who is a strong Michigan lean. The Charlotte, North Carolina native is a top 20 overall player in the 2024 class, and Buckeye coaches will be visiting him on Friday.
But the other five-star quarterback, Julian Sayin will be a tougher nut to crack in terms of him becoming a Buckeye. Sayin has already verbally committed to Nick Saban and Alabama back in November. Sayin is the No. 15 overall recruit according to 247Sports and the Carlsbad, California native let everyone know about his Ohio State offer via Twitter.
Obtaining Sayin will be very hard for Ryan Day. It’s not often that a Nick Saban recruit flips to another program but if anybody could do it it’s Day. He has a proven track record of pumping out first-round NFL quarterbacks.
The Buckeyes are casting a wide net now in looking for its 2024 quarterback. Aside from re-starting the Jadyn Davis recruitment and offering Sayin, the Buckeyes are also said to be in on four-star quarterback Adrian Posse of Mater Academy Charter High School in Florida.
It’s going to be a long winding road for Ohio State to find its next quarterback. Keep it locked into Scarlet and Game for all the latest news on the Buckeye recruiting front.
