Ohio State Football trying to steal five-star QB from TTUN
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team is trying to get their 2024 recruiting class back on the right track. After a rough finish to the 2023 class, Ohio State has turned their attention to the 2024 class. Unfortunately, they lost Dylan Raiola, the number one overall recruit in that class.
Even though they lost him, it’s better that they did this early in the process. That means that they can get another quarterback with plenty of time left in the recruiting cycle. Ryan Day and his staff have turned their attention to other QBs who could be interested in the program.
The offensive staff from the Ohio State football program will visit a five-star quarterback on Friday.
Day and his offensive staff will be visiting five-star quarterback Jaydn Davis. Davis is a five-star quarterback from Charlotte, North Carolina. He is the 19th-ranked prospect overall in the class and is the third-best quarterback in the class as well.
What makes this visit even more interesting is that Davis is projected to go to TTUN. Day is trying to steal a quarterback from them. That would be the best-case scenario for the Buckeyes. Not only would they get a five-star guy, but they’d steal him from their rivals.
Do I think Davis is going to end up going to Ohio State? Probably not. Harbaugh staying at Michigan doesn’t help the Buckeyes either. But you never know. Kids change their minds hourly these days and NIL helps with that. Maybe a collective could help sway him to come to Columbus instead?
I don’t blame Day and his staff for making the visit. Davis is really good Day’s track record of producing first-round quarterbacks is second to none. Perhaps he can make a case to make Davis a Buckeye instead of a Wolverine.
