A+. Hartline again proved why he’s the best in the business and why he earned the offensive coordinator title in 2023.  Two new starting receivers in 2022 both had 1,000-yard seasons in Egbuka and Harrison Jr. while not missing a beat with Smith-Nijigba out injured all season. The recruiting is still at an all-time high after bringing in five-star Brandon Inniss and another top-100 player in Carnell Tate.. Wide Receivers Coach. Ohio State Buckeyes. BRIAN HARTLINE

B+. Corey Dennis helped develop CJ Stroud into one of the nation’s best players and a surefire top-10 NFL Draft pick. He was also responsible for developing both Kyle McCord and Devin Brown underneath Stroud. Dennis’ recruiting abilities were one of the major reasons why 2023 four-star recruit Lincoln Kienholz flipped to Ohio State after being committed to Washington.. Quarterbacks Coach. Ohio State Buckeyes. COREY DENNIS

JUSTIN FRYE. B. Frye helped transition Parris Johnson Jr. into one of the best offensive tackles in the country last season. The offensive line play was very solid for most of the season, especially in pass protection. But Frye gets a “B” grade due to the lack of consistency in run game blocking. Also, the core offensive line recruits in 2023 were already set in Luke Montgomery, Austin Siereveld, and Josh Padilla before Frye arrived in Columbus. We will know more about his recruiting abilities in 2024.. Offensive Line Coach. Ohio State Buckeyes

B-. The running back room was ravished by injuries this season starting in fall camp with the season-ending injury to Evan Pryor. Miyan Williams and TreyVeon Henderson also missed extended time as Alford did a great job in getting Dallan Hayden up to speed as a true freshman. Alford gets a “B-” however due to the lack of recruiting in 2023. He didn’t sign a single recruit as Mark Fletcher flipped to Miami in November.. Running Backs Coach. Ohio State Buckeyes. TONY ALFORD
