Now that the 2022 season is officially in the books for all of college football, it’s time to go back and gives some awards to the Ohio State football team. Some will be good awards while others will be bad. Today, we start with the team MVP, which should be a no-brainer.

The MVP of the 2022 season was Marvin Harrison Jr. C.J. Stroud, who was a Heisman Finalist, also got consideration for this award. That was especially true after he played the best game of his career against Georgia in a losing effort in the Peach Bowl.

That same Peach Bowl game is why Harrison Jr. gets the nod. Once he was knocked out of the game, the Buckeyes couldn’t move the ball down the field anymore. He was the number one weapon on the offense and Georgia still couldn’t stop him. No one could stop him all year.

Harrison Jr. had 77 catches for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns. He had two touchdowns against Georgia and had 105 yards on 5 catches in that game. He was the best player on the field in that game. Quite frankly, he should have won the Biletnikoff Award this year.

The great thing for the Ohio State football team is that they get him back again next year. He will be the best player Ohio State has. He’s already debunked that silly USC rumor so he’ll be back to tear it up next year before he declares for the NFL Draft and becomes the latest receiver to be picked in the first round.

Next. Ohio State Football fans left wondering what could have been. dark

I can’t wait to see how much better he gets next season. He’s already so skilled and is so smooth with everything he does. He’s one of the best receivers I’ve ever seen come through Columbus. If he has another great year in 2023, he could be the absolute best.
