The Ohio State football team has not been the dominant team in the Big Ten in the last couple of years. It’s been strange to see a program that dominated the conference for over a decade all of a sudden become second fiddle to a team they owned for 20 years.

That team is Michigan. TTUN has beaten Ohio State soundly in the last two years. Even though both teams lost in the College Football Playoff, Michigan has won the last two Big Ten titles. As much as I hate to say it, they are the team to beat in the Big Ten right now.

That might not be the case for much longer though. The NFL rumors around Jim Harbaugh never cease to go away. There are reports that if Harbaugh is offered an NFL job, he would take it and leave Michigan behind. He wants to get back to the NFL and win a Super Bowl.

The Ohio State football team could get back on top of the Big Ten if Jim Harbaugh leaves TTUN.

I know one team that is in desperate need of a good coach that could look to hire him. That team is the Indianapolis Colts. My beloved Colts absolutely stink and this season was an unmitigated disaster. Jim Irsay, the owner of the Colts, has already shown his affinity for hiring ex-players.

Harbaugh is in the Colts’ Ring of Honor (for what reason I have no clue. Maybe the surprise AFC Championship run in 1995??), so he would make a lot of sense for Indy. I know other teams around the NFL would be interested in interviewing Harbaugh as well.

After last year, Harbaugh signed a new contract with Michigan and said he was done flirting with the NFL. No one around college football seems to believe that. If he does leave, the Ohio State football team can jump back on top of the Big Ten without too much effort.

Honestly, that might be the only way Ryan Day saves his job. If he loses to TTUN again next year, I don’t see how the fanbase allows him to stay. Harbaugh leaving would make it a lot easier to avoid a three-game losing streak in The Game.
