The Ohio State basketball game had their final non-conference game today at 3 pm. It was an odd start time, and perhaps the Buckeyes were still asleep in the first half of the game. They led by just three at halftime against an Alabama A&M team that was just 4-8.

The second half was a much different story. The Buckeyes put their foot on the gas and never looked back, beating A&M by a score of 90-59. It was a solid end to a fairly rigorous non-conference schedule that saw the Buckeyes take on some really good teams.

Brice Sensabaugh was the player who kept the Buckeyes afloat early. He had 9 of their first 13 points in this one. He ended up finishing with 21 points on some efficient shooting. Sensabaugh is quickly becoming one of Ohio State’s best players.

Justice Sueing had a solid game as well, scoring 18 points on 6-8 shooting. He’s the leader of this team and he played like it. He can score so effortlessly sometimes. His scoring is something the Ohio State basketball team is going to need more of in Big Ten play.

This was the first game in which the Buckeyes were fully healthy. Both Eugene Brown and Isaac Likekele played in this one. Likekele had missed the last couple of weeks dealing with a personal matter. This was Brown’s first game of the season after suffering a concussion in preseason.

Brown didn’t play a whole lot and probably won’t the rest of the way. Too many other guys have established roles in the rotation to mess with it at this point. But he can still earn some minutes if he plays well in practice and can play some tough defense.
