We are just a few days away from the Ohio State football team trying to turn their season from a disappointment into an all-time turnaround. They face Georgia in the Peach Bowl in what will be the toughest game in the Ryan Day era to date. That’s how good the Bulldogs are.

The offense is the key to winning this game. We all know the defense failed in the second half of The Game, but the offense only scored three points after halftime. That’s the reason why the Buckeyes lost the game. You can’t just score three points in a half and expect to beat a good team.

Against Georgia, the Buckeyes have to have a great offensive game. That’s the only way they can pull the upset. I think they have to score 40+ points in order for them to win the game. To do that, C.J. Stroud is going to have to get out of his comfort zone.

C.J. Stroud has to use his legs for the Ohio State football team to beat Georgia.

We know that Stroud has a hesitancy to run the ball. He has been afraid to pick up easy yards with his legs in his two years as a starter. For what reason, I’ll never know. The only game he showed some sort of gumption to run was against Northwestern during that terrible weather game.

That’s the type of game that Stroud has to have. I’m not saying he needs to keep it on a read-option ten times in this game, but he needs to be able to scramble for first downs. He needs to have at least 40-50 yards rushing to keep Georgia on their toes.

Stroud will always be a pocket-passer first. He won’t leave the pocket to scramble unless it’s absolutely necessary. It will be necessary against a great Georgia defense. If he decides to take off and run it every now and then, he gives his team the best chance to win.
