Most of the Ohio State football program’s recruiting class signed yesterday during the early signing period. Right now, it’s a class filled with 19 kids. It’s still a top-five class in the country, sitting exactly at fifth, despite only having one five-star recruit in the class.

That five-star recruit is wide receiver Brandon Inniss. Inniss is from Fout Lauderdale, Florida, and is yet another stud receiver that Brian Hartline has been able to bring in. In fact, three of the top four rated recruits in this 2023 class are wide receivers. Hartline can really recruit.

The one who isn’t a receiver is someone the Buckeyes are hoping can solidify the offensive line in a few years. That is Findlay, Ohio native Luke Montgomery. He is a four-star offensive lineman that will play tackle for the Ohio State football program. He has all the tools to be really good.

Even though the Buckeyes lost a corner recruit yesterday, they still were able to add two four-star corners in this class. The corners have been a big problem this season so it’s imperative that Ohio State gets some new talent in at that position to make it a position of strength instead of weakness.

Grade for the Ohio State football team’s recruiting class: B+

Yes, it’s a top-five class in the country. That’s still pretty darn good compared to everyone else. But I only see one bona fide stud in this class, maybe two. Inniss is going to be really good and has first-round pick potential. I think Montgomery might as well.

For everyone else in the class, the jury is still out. I’m very hopeful that there can be an All-American or two from this class that I don’t see right now. Despite not having the greatest of days on Signing Day, this is still a really solid class.

Next. Buckeyes lose out on top two recruiting targets. dark

I can’t wait to see what this class can start doing next season!
