Ohio State Football: Buckeye fans showing up to Peach Bowl
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team will take on Georiga in the Peach Bowl in just under two weeks. It’s a chance for them to erase all of the ugliness that they have had to deal with since losing the last game of the season to Michigan. They still have a chance to play for a national title.
That game is in Atlanta. Most would think that the game is pretty much going to be a road game even though it is technically a neutral site game. Atlanta isn’t that far away from Athens and the whole state either roots for the Bulldogs or Georgia Tech.
Even so, the Buckeyes will be well-represented at the Peach Bowl. Many reports suggest that it might even only be 60/40 in terms of Georgia fans over Ohio State football fans. That’s pretty darn good considering the game is in Georiga’s own home state.
We already told you how fast tickets were going for this game, so maybe this shouldn’t come as a surprise. But it certainly will help the Buckeyes in their pursuit to beat the best team in the country. As long as the Bulldogs don’t have a home-field advantage, that’s all that matters.
We’ll see how many Ohio State fans end up at the game on New Year’s Eve. I think it will be a great game between two really good teams. I haven’t made up my mind with a prediction yet, but that will be coming your guys’ way late next week once I’ve digested more film and gotten injury news.
Ohio State fans are The Best Damn Fans in the Land, and they need to show it in the Peach Bowl. The Buckeyes need them loud and proud throughout the game to give them some extra juice.
