As the Ohio State football team prepares to take on Georgia in the Peach Bowl, C.J. Stroud was in New York for the Heisman Trophy presentation.

The Ohio State football program has had its fair share of Heisman trophy finalists in recent years. Most notably, quarterback C.J. Stroud has been a finalist for the last two years. Stroud came up short last night in New York, finishing third in voting behind winner Caleb Williams of USC and second-place finisher Max Duggan of TCU.

But for the second year in a row, Desmond Howard has looked like a child while on stage for the presentation. Last year, it was an off-putting joke about Stoud’s offensive line in the Michigan game. It was a very awkward moment in the ceremony.

Last night, Howard looked like a child in failing to acknowledge CJ Stroud when he was walking on stage being introduced. Howard shook the hands of Caleb Williams, Max Duggan, and Stetson Bennett but failed to do so with Stroud as Howard actually turned his back to Stroud when he was coming up on stage.

What a low life this guy is. CJ Stroud is a 21-year-old kid. To act like such a classless child, two years in a row, at a kid who is being recognized for his accomplishments is downright disgusting. Howard is exactly the type of person that you don’t want your kids to role model, while Stroud on the other hand is.

Stroud is a team-first guy and gives his teammates all the praise, while also acknowledging God in just about every interview he gives. Howard is a ‘me first guy.’ He wants the whole world to think that he matters.

I really hope that the Heisman committee looks at Howards’ actions over the past two ceremonies and does something about it. Maybe Howard shouldn’t be present next year. Or maybe he should just grow up.

I for one am sick and tired of this guy. Oh, and he’s awful on ESPN’s College Game Day too. Pat McAfee has proven to be a much better analyst in just one season on set than Howard has in 17 years on set.
