The Ohio State football team has qualified for the playoff for the third time in four years under head coach Ryan Day. This time, they face Georgia in the Peach Bowl which is being held in Atlanta. It’s a de facto home game for Georgia on the surface, but plenty of Buckeye fans have bought tickets.

Tickets for the semifinal games always seem to go pretty quickly. This year is no exception. Peach Bowl tickets are selling out faster than last year’s semifinal tickets were. According to SubHub, tickets for both semifinals are selling 15% faster than this time last year.

StubHub also says that tickets are starting around $400 and that there are over 6,800 available on the platform. $400 is not a cheap ticket to go see the Ohio State football team play the number one team in the country, but there are some Buckeye fans willing to pony up.

I still expect this to be a largely pro-Georgia crowd. Ohio State will definitely still have to use the silent count on offense. But I don’t think it’s going to be overpowering. My guess is that it will be about a 65/35% split in favor of Bulldogs fans on New Year’s Eve.

Ohio State did have to play a tough road game at Penn State earlier this year, so they are accustomed to playing in a hostile environment. In that game, there were way fewer Ohio State fans too. I don’t think where the game is being played will have a huge bearing on who wins the game.

I think whoever executes their game plan the best will win the game. Both teams are excellent and have a ton of talent. I just hope the Buckeyes are able to overcome their deficiencies and pull an upset to win the game.
