Before Friday night, Ohio State football fans were just hoping to get into the College Football Playoff. They needed either USC or TCU to lose to give them a shot. First, USC went down to Utah. Then, TCU fell to Kansas State in overtime. No one expected both teams to lose.

But both teams have fallen. There are still two more conference championship games to go too. As of this writing, Georgia still has to take on LSU and TTUN still has to take on Purdue. Those results could make even more things come into question depending on what happens.

With the Trojans out of the equation and the Horned Frogs falling in the final game, the committee has a decision to make with the final rankings. They have to find out where to rank the final four teams and determine the matchups. That’s of big interest to Buckeye fans.

Where will the Ohio State football team be ranked in the final College Football Playoff Rankings?

I think an argument could be made to rank the Buckeyes third. TCU is a team that no one respected most of the season and finally lost a game. Will that close loss drop them to four? I think it should. There’s no way they drop totally out of the top four though.

That would mean that Ohio State would have a rematch with TTUN in the desert in the Fiesta Bowl. That would be the juiciest matchup in the history of The Game. Ohio State wants to get the taste of that game out of their mouth so badly. What better time to do it than in the Playoff?

Ohio State will either take on Georgia in Atlanta or TTUN in Glendale. That much is clear. Which team would you rather take on?
