Ohio State Football: UM player accidentally gives info on injured running back
By Ryan Stano
It’s rivalry week and everyone is focused on Columbus, Ohio. That’s where the Ohio State football team will be taking on Michigan on Saturday afternoon. Both teams are going to empty the bag of tricks for this one and use every advantage they can to win this game.
One of those advantages is knowing to keep quiet about injuries. Ryan Day has annoyingly done that all year and Jim Harbaugh is doing that this week for sure. When asked about his ailing running back room, Harbaugh said he had “no update” on their status.
Not everyone at the University of Michigan seems to have gotten the memo to not give out injury information though. It looks like one of the starting tackles accidentally gave out some crucial information when it comes to the injury status of one of those running backs.
The Ohio State football team may have gotten some information on Blake Corum.
When asked about Corum, tackle Ryan Hayes said everyone will have to step up with him out, accidentally letting the world know that he probably won’t play in this game.
As you can see, that’s a juicy bit of information that can help Ryan Day and his team when it comes to game-planning. If they know Corum is out, that would be a huge loss for TTUN. It would make their rushing attack a lot less potent than before.
Could this be some misinformation thrown out? Of course. Everything is on the table when it comes to Ohio State/Michigan. If I’m Day, I’m still planning on seeing Corum suit up and play. He can’t leave any stone unturned in this matchup that will decide the fate of the Big Ten and maybe the College Football Playoff.
This would be a huge loss for TTUN. I guess only time will tell if the Heisman hopeful actually gets on the field against the Buckeyes. For the Ohio State Buckeyes though, it would be better if he had to sit this one out.
