The Ohio State football team heads to College Park to take on the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday. Here are three bold predictions.

The Ohio State football team continues on its march toward the Michigan game as it takes on Maryland this weekend. The Buckeyes come in as a heavy 27.5-point favorite over the Terrapins, who got crushed by Penn State last week 30-0 in Happy Valley.

The Terrapins are led by possibly the best quarterback that Ohio State has seen to date in Taulia Tagovailoa, who has thrown for over 2,100 yards and 14 scores on the season. Keep in mind that Maryland played Michigan very tough earlier in the season in Ann Arbor, losing 34-27 with a chance at winning late in the game.

Ohio State comes after getting back on track offensively last weekend against Indiana. C.J. Stroud has to be the Heisman frontrunner as long as Ohio State keeps winning. The Buckeyes better not be overlooking Maryland and ahead to next week’s game of the year against Michigan. The Terrapins can play if they show up.

Here are bold three predictions for the game:

Prediction 1: The Ohio State football team won’t show anything on film

Ryan Day knows as long as Ohio State takes Maryland seriously, they should win pretty emphatically. So why show any Michigan anything on film that could be used against them? Expect a pretty steady diet of things the Buckeyes have already been doing on Saturday.

This includes running the ball in short-yardage situations, even if it’s not working as it usually doesn’t. I don’t believe Day is going to want to show his hand on short-yardage passing plays until it’s time to unleash them against the Wolverines.

I would also expect the same on the other side of the ball with Jim Knowles and the defense. I believe Knowles might have a couple of wrinkles saved up for Michigan, and he’s not going to want to tip his hand just yet.
