The Ohio State football team has one final test to pass before taking on Michigan in the final game of the season. That test is in Maryland on Saturday afternoon. The Terrapins are 6-4 and are coming in looking to spoil the Buckeyes’ season before that final clash.

Maryland is not the team you want to face before having a big rivalry game. They can actually do some stuff on offense. Taulia Tagovaiola is someone that can sling it around. He’s one of the main things the Buckeyes need to watch out for in this game because of his arm strength.

The number of points the Terrapins put up is impressive too. They average just over 28 points per game. They are not your typical Big Ten team. In fact, no one has put more points on Michigan this year than Maryland, and they did so at the Big House, scoring 27.

Perhaps the biggest thing the Buckeyes need to watch out for is their own mindset heading into this game. Maryland is not some doormat they can walk all over. This team will give them a real fight and will play hard. If they aren’t careful and a few breaks go Maryland’s way, the Buckeyes could be in major danger of losing.

Am I saying that the Buckeyes need to totally be on upset alert? I don’t think so. Ohio State still has the most talent between these two teams. Even if they aren’t fully healthy, it’s a game they should be able to play some depth in and still get the victory.

Next. Could OSU put grass back in the Shoe?. dark

I am saying that playing with some bad habits could carry over into next week’s clash. We all know the Ohio State football team can’t afford to have that happen once TTUN comes to town. This is a game to get everything right.
