The Ohio State football team was favored by almost 40 points against IU on Saturday. It was a huge spread coming off a struggling effort over Northwestern. It was the correct spread though because the Buckeyes won 56-14 in a game that was never close.

Even though the weather wasn’t great, it snowed most of the game, Ohio State was able to throw the ball must better. C.J. Stroud had 5 touchdowns and 297 yards. He also didn’t turn the ball over at all either, which is key. He put himself back in the the Heisman conversation as the front runner.

Marvin Harrison Jr. was great yet again. He had 7 catches for 153 yards and a touchdown. He was once again the best receiver on the field. Stroud has found his favorite target and loves throwing it to him when the Buckeyes need some yardage.

The Ohio State football team was able to run the ball much better this game, but it came at a cost. Miyan Williams was great, running for 147 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Unfortunately, he got hurt and was carted off the field with an ankle injury. He was in the sideline in a boot and on crutches after that.

Beating IU is a great thing, but losing Williams is a huge blow. Right now, the Buckeyes only have one healthy scholarship running back. That’s a huge concern going forward with TTUN coming to town in two weeks. Ohio State needs to get healthy at running back in the worst.

It remains to be seen if the Buckeyes can get healthy at running back before TTUN comes in. Maryland is next. It doesn’t matter who plays running back in that game. It only matters that the Buckeyes get healthy at that spot in two weeks. Otherwise, Ohio State has some major problems.
