Recruits react on social media to signing with the Ohio State basketball program

Today is signing day for the Ohio State basketball program and recruits are signing their Letters of Intent. It’s a big day as the Buckeyes are expected to sign a top-5 class in the country for the 2023 class. Several recruits have signed this morning already.

Those recruits took to social media to express their happiness in joining the Ohio State basketball program.

Devin Royal is the highest-rated recruit in this 2023 class and is the most exciting prospect the Buckeyes bring in. He has good size and can score all over the floor. Royal has a chance to possibly be one-and-done. That’s how good of a player he is.

Austin Parks is another local kid from St. Mary’s, Ohio. He’s a big man, standing at 6’9, and is a three-star recruit. He reminds me of Kyle Young.  He’s someone that can fill the void inside once Zed Key eventually departs in a couple of years.

Scotty Middelton also signed with the Buckeyes this morning. Middleton is a 6’6 forward from Florida and is the perfect swing-man. He can switch on defense and use his size as a mismatch on offense. He can handle the ball pretty well too so he can create for others as well as himself.

The Buckeyes will also sign Taison Chatman as well. He is a combo guard out of Minnesota that is the second-highest-rated recruit in this class for Ohio State. Right now, he is the last piece of Chris Holtmann’s recruiting class, which is the best class he has ever brought into Columbus.

There might be one more recruit added after the early signing period, but that remains to be seen. Regardless, this is a pretty solid recruiting class for the Buckeyes.
